Armada Vale - Wasted Life

Armada Vale - Wasted Life by Perth Sound & Found

The beginning of Wasted Life instantly caught my attention when I listened to it, especially when the second section of the guitar- the faster section- began. It sounds amazing, and I really do love how it sounds. It runs a little bit too slowly, but definitely doesn’t detract from the song. The way the guitar picks up and gets rough so rapidly sounds great, and the screaming over the top of it fits perfectly. I really like how the guitar sounds when it picks up speed, especially when it gets higher pitched and shrieky. The rapid changes between the quick and the slow guitar sound brilliant, and go with the screaming flawlessly.

The vocals behind the screaming sound amazing, and the throaty screaming and the clearer, higher sound of the singing mix in together just right. I like how the music gets slower towards the middle of the song, and it works perfectly after the rapid guitar and the screaming. I really love the mix between the higher-pitched shrieks and lower-pitched screams- it fits in perfectly and adds to the entire song. The way the song speeds up and slows down through the whole song works brilliantly. The warping sound of the guitar towards the end sounds great, but it does go on for just a few seconds too long, but overall, Wasted Life is a very good song. Great work, guys, and I can’t wait to hear more of your music.
